MONTREAL, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ - The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada (CCAC) is pleased to announce the opening of its Second Annual Public Service Announcement Contest on September 1st, 2010.
PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST: The contest is intended to increase public awareness of the benefits of the primary prevention of colorectal cancer as well as the benefits of being screened through measures including Fecal Occult Blood testing (FOBT), Fecal Immunochemical testing (FIT) and colonoscopy.

resin microspheres (SIR-Spheres; Sirtex Medical, Sydney, Australia) appear to
be a safe and effective treatment for patients with colorectal cancer liver
metastases who have failed available chemotherapy options, according to the
final results of a prospective clinical multi-centre phase II trial conducted
by the Italian Society of Locoregional Therapies in Oncology (SITILO) and
published in the British Journal of Cancer.[1]
